LUSH Haul..x

Okay so i used to spend alot of money on LUSH products, and i mean ALOT.

When i got into makeup i kinda forgot about LUSH for a while as there isn't really one near me and i'm skint all the time cos of MAC collections lol.

But lately everyone has been doing hauls and i had some spare cash so decided to go all the way to Kingston on the bus for some LUSH lovin' :)

Photobucket

Photobucket

The girl in there was so helpful without being pressurising and i had a really nice brouse and got myself some goodies so here's what i got....

Photobucket
'Pop In The Bath' Bubble Bar
Yes i know i used some already but i totally forgot to take pics before i used it lol.
They had some different colour combinations in the store but i decided to go for barbie pink with a green flower. The colours really drew me to this product as it's so pretty and it smells soooo good! The smell is sorta indescribable but i can smell some lavender in there somewhere.
I used a third of this bar and i had lodes of bubbles in my bath that lasted a 20 minute soak so in my eyes it's pretty good value for money at £2.50.

Photobucket
'Creamy Candy' Bubble Bar
I have actually used this bar a couple of times before and i really liked it so decided to go for it again.
It's soo pretty and smells great but again i can't find a way of describing the smell exactly.
The girl in the store said that it's good for dry skin as it has lumps of shea butter moulded into it for extra moisture so i'm excited to try this one out. This bar is a little smaller than the other one but is also a little cheaper at £2.20.

Photobucket
'The Comforter' Bubble Bar
I haven't actually used this one before but my mum always used to get it from LUSH and it always smelled so good.
The girl in the store was raving about this one and i'm hoping that it was for good reason.
It's the largest bubble bar that LUSH make but also one of the most expensive, i'd say it's about twice the size of a normal bubble bar and it worked out at £3.87 which i didn't think was too bad as this bar will easily last me 5 soaks.
It's my fave smelling of all the products i got cos it's really strong, just like blackberries but my comparison would be that it smells exactly like black and red gums, you know the sweets?
Heaven!!!!!

Photobucket
'Up You Get' Emotibomb
These as far as i know are a recent addition to LUSH as when i was really into LUSH i never saw them so i was excited to try one out.
Alot of people have been getting 'Sex in the shower' but the citrus smell of this one was irresistable! I can't wait to try this one out. It was £1.91 but i might try and split it into two so that i get my money's worth.

Photobucket
'Ickle Baby Devil' and 'Ickle Baby Angel' Bath Bombs
Okay so i have to admit that bath bombs aren't my fave product from LUSH, i much prefer bubble bars.
Bombs are okay while they fizz but after that you're just left with coloured bath water.
I got these as they were alot cheaper than the normal, full size bath bombs which, might i add, are impossible to split in half so you can only use it in one bath.
They both smell strongly of lavender and citrus. The angel is like a blueish purple and the devil is pink and they were £1.32 each.

Photobucket
'You've Been Mangoed' Bath Melt
The lovely, lovely assistant also gave me a sample of this which turned out to be half a bar :)
She was explaining to me what they did and what they had in them but i told her they were a bit expensive and i didn't want to splash out unless i knew i liked them so she cut me a huge sample...thanks so much :)
It's £2.69 for a really small bar but it smells amazing and if it's good i'm gonna go back a purchase it so yay for samples lol.
I know not the hugest haul in the world but i spent £13.12 which i think is quite alot on bath products.
Comments always welcome :)

Re-organisation..x

So i was ill last week and got soooo bored being off school that i decided to organise my makeup again lol.

I'm still using the same storage unit and vanity case from the previous posts but i've found a better way of separating things within the drawers themselves.

I've started using plastic fruit containers (below) which is really effective and also free as you don't have to buy anything....and it's also recycling so yay me lol :P

I just thought i'd do an updated post to show you what i did. I took photos but they're too big to fit on the blog page so click the links and they come up full size. I know i can make them smaller but then you can't see anything.

My GHDs are still on a heatproof mat ontop of the unit and this is what's left on my shelf, it's all labled as the pics bad quality (sorry)...
http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt233/kerrylovesMAC/LPIC4569-1.jpg

Right, onto the first drawer. I managed to get hold of two large containers, a medium sized one and a small one for bits and bobs. This is really my face and lip drawer so they're easy to get to.
http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt233/kerrylovesMAC/LPIC4570.jpg

The second drawer i have split into two parts. At the back there's a shoe box filled with spare cotton pads and buds and also my hair clips for straightening and some slides.
At the front i have a medium sized container with all my shadesticks, liners and mascaras. I also have two small boxed containers which were supposed to hold cotton buds and i keep all sorts of things in there for my eyes. It's all labled apart from i left out that on the left side at the front i keep my bobbypin shadow palette.
http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt233/kerrylovesMAC/LPIC4571.jpg

In the thrid drawer i still keep my backups and unused perfumes but now i also keep all the hair prodcucts that i own.
http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt233/kerrylovesMAC/LPIC4572.jpg

The bottom drawer is just filled with rubbish really, much as before.
http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt233/kerrylovesMAC/LPIC4573.jpg

So i hope you liked this little update, be sure to leave some comments if you have some advice or questions.

Bye xxx

Tag..x

So i got tagged by lipgloss86 to do this and i tag anyone who reads this :)

What’s your favourite eye shadow colour to wear? Deep Truth by MAC, everytime i wear it i just feel all glammed up. I do love the combo of Brule,Cork and Romp for a more natural look though.

What’s the one product you wouldn’t leave your house without? Some sort of lipgloss, lipstick or lipbalm as my lips get really dried out and sore and a mirror for any touch ups. I hate it when you're makeup's smudged and nobody tells you :(

What’s your favourite makeup look – high drama OR natural? High drama, i don't really do natural very well. I do like to mix the two though for a dramatic look using neutral colours.

Which feature do you play up the most? Mainly my eyes

Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up? My lips as i usually go for a neutral lip

Your favourite makeup brand, if you could pick only ONE to exist? MAC everytime although i do like GOSH as a cheaper alternative.

Which product have you re-purchased OVER and OVER again? Clinique Pore Minimiser, MAC Primer, MAC Liquid Liner and MAC Eye Kohl in Smoulder

Which product would you NEVER repurchase again and why? Anything by Benefit, you pay for the cute packaging.

One beauty treatment you would always PAY to have done? Nothing really as i prefer shaving to waxing and plucking my brows to waxing. I might have to start having my upper lip waxed though cos plucking it hurts too much :(

One beauty treatment you would NEVER pay to have done? My brows cos the last time i had them waxed the lady messed them up and did them to short so i looked wierd for a while lol

One beauty trick you can share with everyone? Get Tweezerman tweezers, it doesn't hurt so much with them and they're more precise

Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty and makeup? Always use and eye base for shadow. Simple i know but effective :)

GOSH Haul..x

So i went into town today and popped into Superdrug as i had some spare cash. I was planning to just get Maybelline Colossal Mascara as it's on offer at the moment but i saw that GOSH was on 3 for 2 and decided to go for that instead as i didn't really need a new mascara.
I got 2 brushes and a lippy. Normally i'd just get 3 of the most expensive items i wanted to get the most free but i didn't have much money so i kept with what i got.
Photobucket

Okay so i gave in.....i finally got a GOSH Darling lipstick!

Yes,after months of reviews and reccomendations most notably from lollipop26 i gave in a got it and i'm sooo impressed!
Photobucket
It's a really pretty neutral with just a hint of pink. It's actually nearly the same as my MAC pure rose lustre lippy which was limited edition from the Emanuel Ungaro collection and i'm nearly out so i'm super happy about that :)
The texture is very smooth and creamy and lasts for quite a long time. It's one of those lippies that you can apply on the go without a mirror and so is really convenient.
I got it free with 3 for 2 but it usually retails for £5.87.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Secondly i got a new crease brush as i love my other one so much. It does all the work for you and really suits me as i have small lids. It was also a much cheaper alternative for while i'm saving for MAC brushes. It retails for £6.85, an absolute bargain considering they're made from 100% natural hair.

Photobucket
The last thing i got was a powder brush but i will be using it as a large blush brush. I've tested it out and it's the perfect size to apply blush. The brustles are soft, not as soft as MAC but it'll do.
It's £9.79, GOSH's most expensive brush but well worth it.

Overall i spent £16.64 which roughly works out at just over £5.50 per item and i'm very happy :)
If anyone has tried GOSH then recommendations are welcome.

New Makeup Storage and Organisation..x

So for a while now I've been fed up with how i store my makeup as it was taking up too much room on my shelves and i had to rummage through all my makeup bags to find what i wanted.
I'd been watching alot of organisation and storage videos on YouTube and they all had these plastic draws with separators inside and i thought that would be perfect.

So i went to Homebase with my parents a couple of days ago to get some plants (even though my mum always manages to kill them lol) and they had a 4 drawer storage unit and my mum was like we're gonna get this for your makeup and i was like yay! :)

Here's a pic of it, it's on special offer for 10 days at Homebase, £13.00 instead of £29.99

It's exactly the same one as mine except mine's black.
The drawers are a little deep which is my only complaint as I'd have preferred shallower but more drawers.
So here's my makeup storage and organisation now:
Photobucket
I keep my makeup remover, day cream, night gel, brushes, MAC shadow palette and my Playboy makeup bag with all my liners, glosses, mascaras, etc that i use everyday in it on my shelf so that it's easy to get to in a rush.
Photobucket
I also keep my white Lancome vanity case that i got as a free gift on my shelf. It holds all my makeup that i never use but can't bare to throw away.
Photobucket
This is my storage unit which keeps all my makeup/perfume/hair stuff. On top i keep my GHD straighteners and brush on a heatproof mat.
Photobucket
This is the first drawer, in here is basically all of the rest of my makeup.
At the front is my Fix+, foundation and primer.
In the right hand front corner is a small tub full of loose shadows, pigment and pigment samples, paintpots and eye primers, etc.
In the left hand front corner is a small tub full of lippies and glosses which i'm not using much at the moment.
In the back left hand corner is a plastic tub full of beauty powders and MSFs.
Next to that is a tub full of blushes. I also keep my MSF natural and concealer in there.
In the back right hand corner is a makeup bag full of small palettes and shadesticks.
Next to that is my bobbypin palette.
In the middle is cotton tips, OPI polishes that i'm always using, a holiday palette, my hair bands and clips and my 182 brush.
In the little red bag is my nail clippers and tweezers etc.
Photobucket
In the second drawer is all my hairstuff and spare makeup bags.
Photobucket
The third is my backups of stuff and unused perfumes.
Photobucket
Finally is my nailpolishes and more hair stuff.
By the way, in my backup drawer the HK packaging is just packaging, not backups, i keep the packaging a while incase i have to take any of it back.
I've been using empty fruit containers to separate my makeup drawer but i do need some more.
They basically free and are so good for organising so that's just my little tip.
I'd love to hear your opinions.

Hello Kitty and Grand Duos Haul..x

Okay so i finally got to go to London to get my MAC MAC goodies! :)
I went like really early so that it wouldn't all sell out and i was like the only person in the shop lol.

Photobucket
Photobucket

I got to MAC Covent Garden for just after 10.30 and there were so many underground line closures that it was really hard to get around.
The MA in there is sooo nice...she's called Tasha or something like that and she got me all the stuff i wanted.

I took in my 12 empty containers and got Big Bow and Strayin' lipsticks from Hello Kitty.
Photobucket
Big Bow
Photobucket
Strayin'

Strayin' is a really beautiful pink which i've tried pairing with Petite Indulgence Cremesheenglass and it tones it down a bit to make it more wearable.
Big Bow is nowhere near as bright as it looks, it gives a nice natural rosyness to the lips with some blueish glitter.
They look really similar in the pictures but trust me they're completely different!

Next i got Pretty Baby Beauty Powder. If i'm honest, i was a sucker for the packaging :(
I was toying between getting Pretty Baby or Tahitian Sand but my pink addiction won over again :P
When i got it home i realised that it's nearly identical to my MAC for Emanuel Ungaro Beauty Powder, Flow Mist Dew but i tried them out and FMD is so much more pigmented than PB, i use FMD as a blush and will use PB as a highlighter.
Photobucket

The final thing i got from HK is Pink Fish TLC which i had heard really good things about and i was really supprised that they hadn't sold out.
It's a really good TLC but not as pigmented as i'd hoped and it doesn't last very long on the lips.
The smell and packaging make up for it though! It smells like a cake shop and the packaging is just too cute!
Photobucket

So onto Grand Duos....

I had been eyeing up this collection for a while on the internet and only really liked the look of the two which i ended up getting.
I had expected the collection later than it happened so that i could save up but MAC are always weird with their release dates.

They were very expensive for what they are but i just had to have them.
They're smaller than i thought as i was hoping they would be more like the size of an MSF but owell.

Photobucket
Photobucket

First i got Love Rock which is a fuschia pink on the solid side with marbled browns and purples the other. It has silver sparkles which is nice as my other one has gold ones.
Photobucket
Love Rock

Second i got Moon River which was the one that really caught my eye on the internet and is my favourite. It's solid peach one side with marbled blues and pinks the other side.
Photobucket
Moon River

You really can't appreciate their beauty in the photos as my camera is so rubbish but they really are lovely so check those out.

So now that HK and Grand Duos are out of the way, bring on Sugarsweet lol!

Please comment i always like to know you're opinions.

Mini OPI Haul..x

So i went to Sally's hairdressing wholesalers today with my mum and her friend who's a hairdresser and got a couple of OPI polishes as they're cheaper there.

OPI polishes are normally around £10 in the UK so i never really gave them a second look as i tend to use cheaper alternatives like Barry M but at Sally's they worked out about £4 each as my mums friend gets trade prices cos she's in the beauty industry and has a card plus it was VAT free day :)

They didn't have much variety of colours there but i got two pinks, Strawberry Margarita and Koala Bear-y.

I have heard alot about the Strawberry Margarita one and lollipop26 included it in a video a while back and it looked such a pretty colour so i had to have it! It's like a light hot pink and reallu shiny after 2 coats.

Koala Bear-y i wasn't sure about cos it's quite a dark pink for me as i tend to go bubblegum pink but as my mum was paying i decided to go for it and i'm really glad i did. It's like a deep shocking pink, i haven't tried it out yet apart from in the store but i'm sure it's gonna look really nice.

I'm quite impressed with OPI actually but i don't think it's worth the usual price tag, i'd rather just have a few colours and spend my money on some MAC lol. My aunt, who is forever buying all beauty stuff from QVC sends me down all the colours that she doesn't like. Most are Nails Inc but for xmas she gave me my first OPI polish which is Elephantastic Pink from the Indian Collection and i love it, it's more of a peachy pink but still really pretty.

Anyways i can't wait for thursday! I'm going after school with my mum to Croydon which is just outside of London to pick up my Hello Kitty goods :)
I might phone up in the morning and ask if they can put some stuff by for me as it's only a MAC counter and not a store and i'm totally paranoid about them selling out lol.

I'll include my pics below of the OPI polishes, sorry they're poor quality but my camera is so rubbish i need a new one.....a PINK one!!!! :)
